I graduated from King’s College Dental School, London in 2013, and completed my foundation training year in Gillingham, Kent. I then undertook a year in Maxillofacial training at Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, where I gained valuable experience in surgical procedures, including the removal of complex teeth. During this year, I also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Dental Care from the University of Kent. 

In 2017, I took over Orchard House Dental and became the principal dentist, where I have been proudly serving the local community of Beckenham, Kent. My goal has always been to provide high-quality dental care to the people of Beckenham and the surrounding areas.

I have been providing Invisalign treatment since 2016 and became an accredited Invisalign Comprehensive Provider in 2021, allowing me to treat more complex orthodontic cases.

In 2019, I completed my Diploma in Practice Management, further enhancing my ability to efficiently manage and operate a dental practice.  

I have a keen interest in oral surgery, particularly in extracting more difficult teeth, as well as general dentistry and Invisalign. More recently, in 2024, I qualified in both inhalation and intravenous sedation, enabling me to offer a more comfortable experience for anxious patients. I have also had the privilege of working in community dental services, helping vulnerable adults, children, and patients with anxiety to receive care in a supportive environment.

I am passionate about providing preventative, minimally invasive, and ethical dentistry. I strive to ensure that all my patients receive the best possible care, always going above and beyond to meet their needs.

Outside of work, I love travelling and spending time with my family. I have two young boys who keep me very active and remind me of the importance of a healthy smile!

I moved down to London and continued being a dentist in Swanley as an associate dentist for 9 years.

During this time I decided I wanted to open my own practice where I founded Orchard House Dental Practice in 1990.

During 1996-2006 I developed my career and became a trainer for the newly qualified dentists to assist them with their dental career.

Winning London’s Trainer for the year in 2015/2016.

Outside of work I have Interests in all forms of sport.

I’m Dr Kam Mistry, and I’ve been practicing general dentistry for over 20 years, having qualified in 2002 from Guys, Kings and St Thomas Dental School. My goal has always been to provide gentle, compassionate care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. I’m deeply committed to helping people of all ages maintain healthy and beautiful smiles, and I take the time to educate my patients so they feel confident in their dental care decisions.

I specialize in treating anxious and nervous patients and work hard to create a calm, supportive atmosphere. I understand that dental visits can be stressful for some, and I always strive to make each visit as stress-free as possible. I offer a range of services, including Invisalign for aligning teeth and composite bonding to improve the appearance of teeth, in addition to general dentistry.

To stay on top of the latest advancements in dentistry, I regularly attend postgraduate courses lead by world-renowned dentists. This allows me to continually expand my skills and knowledge, ensuring that I can provide the highest level of care to my patients. I am a dentist with a strong background in biomedical sciences and research. I earned my DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from the prestigious Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1999, having previously obtained my BDS (Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences) in 1992. I also hold a master’s degree in odontology and diplomas in TMJ and periodontitis from Karolinska Institute.

Throughout my academic journey, I conducted research in neurology, immunology, and microbiology, leading to published work. Additionally, I completed the first two years of medical school, further deepening my medical knowledge. My work remains firmly rooted in research, ensuring a science-driven approach to dentistry.

I have worked as a general dental surgeon in both the UK and Sweden, bringing a wealth of international experience to my practice. Within dentistry, I have a special interest in gum disease, TMJ disorders, and aesthetic dentistry, combining my scientific expertise with a keen eye for precision and aesthetics.

I firmly believe that prevention is better than cure and applies this philosophy to my patient care, focusing on proactive treatments to maintain oral health and prevent future complications.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoys weight training, hiking, pottery, live music, DIY, and spending time with loved ones.

I was born in Cardiff and a fluent Welsh speaker, I completed my dental training at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2021.

Following qualification, I broadened my clinical experience by working within a hospital environment, focusing on the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

I always had the urge to experience the vibrancy of London life, and so I relocated to the capital and fully embraced everything the city has to offer.
I provided a comprehensive range of general dental services, with a particular interest in cosmetic and preventative dentistry.

I am dedicated to continuous professional development; I have recently embarked on the Totally Aesthetic Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry to further enhance her skills. Additionally, I have completed training in IV sedation, enabling me to offer a more comfortable experience for anxious patients.

Known for my calm and gentle approach, I am passionate about building strong relationships with my patients, ensuring even the most nervous individuals feel relaxed and leave with confidence in their smile.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, particularly through cycling and exploring London’s vibrant restaurant and café scene while catching up with family and friends.

I graduated with an honours from one of the most prestigious medical schools in Romania, Carol Davila University in Bucharest, during my time at university I developed a passion for aesthetic dentistry and oral surgery.

In 2016 I moved to the UK where I went to join the maxillofacial department at the Dorchester County Hospital, alongside my time working within the hospital I also worked within a private dental practice.

In 2017 I undertook my master’s degree in dental implantology at the University of Manchester, qualifying in 2019.

Over the years I have attended numerous aesthetics and restorative dental course both in the UK and internationally, allowing me to provide complex functional and aesthetic full mouth rehabilitations. I have also completed alignment courses which I am now an Invisalign treatment provider.

I have special interests in minimally invasive restorative dentistry, Dental implants and aesthetic restorative dentistry.

I am currently undertaking a MClinDent in restorative dentistry at Kings College London which I should complete in 2026.

I take pride in my patient-centred approach to dentistry and I ensure my patients are fully involved with each step of their dental treatment and are comfortable with the treatment they are having.

I am passionate about delivering and helping to maintain optimal oral health and hygiene for patients. I ensure that I offer a calming and gentle chairside manner and thrive for excellence in each session.

I graduated from the prestigious King’s College Dental Institute in 2017 with a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy and previous to that an Honours Degree in Biology in 2010 from Queen Mary University London.

My work in dentistry has ranged from general and specialist Implant practices. I regularly attend courses and seminars to keep up to date with continual professional development and is clinically trained to deliver the latest in gum disease management- GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy).

I joined Orchard House Dental Practice in the winter of 2021 and am excited to be part of the patients dental journey.

Outside of work in dentistry I enjoy travelling, art, baking and spending time with her family. Any conversations about food and travel are welcomed!

After leaving school, I began my professional journey at Orchard House in November 2015, where I embarked on my dental career as a trainee dental nurse. After dedicated training, I proudly earned my qualification in June 2017.

Over the years, I’ve seamlessly transitioned through various roles within the practice, from dental nurse to receptionist, ultimately assuming the role of Practice Manager in January 2019.

Working alongside a dynamic family like team comprising of Dentists, Hygienists, Dental Nurses and Receptionists has been an enriching experience.

Since starting in 2015 there has been both personal growth and professional development. From navigating the challenges or being a trainee to guiding and mentoring new trainees, I’ve embraced every opportunity to expand my skill set.

I am deeply committed to staying on top of the latest technologies and advancements in dentistry, eager to integrate newfound knowledge into our practice to ensure our patients receive nothing short of a 5-star experience.

Outside of work, I cherish time spent with loved ones, creating cherished memories together. My hobbies include football, where I find excitement in the game, as well as tending to flowers and engaging in various crafts. These activities not only provide relaxation but also allows me to express creativity and find fulfilment outside of professional life.

I started my journey at Orchard House in February 2022, building on my experience and knowledge as a qualified dental nurse since January 2020.

My passion lies in patient care, and I take great pride in ensuring everyone has a comfortable and pleasant experience from the moment they step through our doors until their treatment is complete. I enjoy doing various treatments including crowns and composite fillings.

Throughout 2023 I embarked on a training course for sedation, competing this in December 2023 alongside Dr Yanika Amin. Together, we are committed to offering tis valuable service to our patients, enhancing their comfort and convenience during dental procedures.

I have knowledge and understanding of implants as I undertook a training course in November 2024, in which I look forward to gaining further experience in the future.

Beyond the practice, I cherish moments spent with my family and friends, finding joy in their company.

Commencing my journey here at Orchard House in August 2021 as a Dental receptionist marked the beginning of my venture into dental nursing. Undertaking the NEBDN course, I attained my Dental Nurse qualification in July 2023.

At Orchard House, my role consists of a blend of reception and nursing duties, allowing me to combine my knowledge to enrich our patients’ experiences and ensure their visits are exceptional.

Recently I have undertaken additional training for Invisalign and Implant nursing. This allows me to understand and be able to share the knowledge of more complex dentistry to the patients of Orchard House.

I embarked on my dental career in July 2021 as a trainee Dental Nurse, initially honing my skills at a previous practice. After dedicated training and commitment, I successfully completed my NEBDN Dental nursing course in July 2023, marking a significant milestone in my professional development. Since January 2024, I’ve had the privilege to contribute my expertise and passion for patient care as a valued member of the Orchard House team.

I recently have taken on the role of being the designated implant nurse at Orchard House and recently undertaken training to understand the process of placing implants and the necessary aftercare for the patients.

My dedication to my role stems from a desire to ensure that every patient receives exceptional care and feels at ease during their dental visits. I am looking forward to developing my skills and knowledge and delivering this give a positive experience for everyone.
